Lu at 13 months

This girl....

she is the best.

She is such a little ball of energy, charm, personality, sweetness, and just enough spunk.

She NEVER stops moving.

She wants to talk to everyone one she sees and charms everyone with her darling "hi" or "hello" while waving her hand or blowing kisses.  People love it, including me.

She has learned how to throw fits by laying her head on the floor and crying.  It's so dramatic.  And funny.

She loves to eat and is constantly mooching off other people.  Beware of your food if you are around her.

She only wants to use utensils when she eats.  She has gotten good at forks and spoons.

She talks all day long.  Sometimes with enough gusto to rise up an army.  Other times, she will just gentle chatter to herself.  Her favorite words include:  dada, yum, thank you, hi, hello, uh-o, mama, nana, woof, moo, happy, and Ni Hao.  I'm not sure where she picked the last one up....I haven't been teaching her Chinese.

She is obsessed with dogs.  A girl after my own heart.

She LOVES books.  She is constantly wanting to read or flip through them.  Any books with dogs get special privileges.

She has been into throwing her food off of the highchair when is is finished or no longer interested.  The bugs love it.  Mom, not so much.

She still loves her binkies.  They are kept in her crib with the intent of being used during times of sleep...but she keeps finding ways of stashing them to pull them out when I'm not looking.

She is not interested in any liquid other than water.  I guess it saves me on groceries.

She is a crawling smile.

She loves to dance and sing to music.

She enjoys playing in the bathroom.

She has become proficient on the baby xylophone.

She squeals with delight when she sees her dad getting off the metro.

She exudes pure joy when she plays outside.

She figured out how to pick her nose.

She thinks a shopping cart should be ridden like a chariot.
She loves to point at anything and everything.

She is overjoyed to FaceTime with Aunt Megan, Grandma, or Nana.

She is loved.
