Sorry I've been a little MIA. JT and I have been keeping busy with school, work, and our new callings of primary teachers!
A little while ago, JT's awesome aunt was getting new couches and she gave us her old set. The set is a quirky, yellow leather couch, loveseat, and chair. I LOVE them. Seriously. But, unfortunately, the tan pillows we had received for our wedding really clashed with our amazing couches. Nasty. (Also, I might add that by no choice of our own, the carpet in our house is brown...yes, it looks yucky.) I had been meaning to recover our pillows, and I finally got around to it last week. And, I checked another item off of our list! Yay!
Here is the sad, ugly pillow:
Here are the new and improved pillows:Also, I finally made wheat bread with out killing the yeast. Hallelujah. It was delicious. I did not take a picture (although I should have-it was a defining moment for me...haha), but it looked something like this:
Artistic display and everything....just kidding.Oh! And I got in my first car wreck as a driver last week. Don't worry, it was not my fault. I feel pretty fortunate because the damage on our car was minimal and I was quite calm and composed throughout the whole ordeal. JT and I had talked a few months previous about the motions to go through when you get in a wreck. As a result, I was able to calmly handle the situation without him there. Oh goodness, I am becoming a real adult.
Keep your eyes open for more projects and stories to come!
Love, love the pillows! I'm glad you got them done. And the bread - my goodness. I think it's a rite of passage to make some "brick" bread first, isn't it? Good job!! Love you kids.
