2012 in Review...with mainly phone pictures....I am not sure where the files of my real pictures are (thanks to several laptops giving up the ghost on me) and I'm feeling too lazy to go find them....
Also, blogger frustrates me....so rather than spending forever trying to get the layout completely right/not looking ridiculous, we are going to pretend that it looks right...
January
I found out that my mom had saved some of our wedding cake for a year and a half....It didn't sound very appealing to me, so I did what any rational person would do.....I dared my sister to eat it. And she did. haha.
My fortune of the new year....pretty easy, right? :)
I saw a lot of this....with both of JT's brothers here, it was a man party all time...and lots of sport watching...
I also started my last semester at BYU. Since I had finished my thesis the semester before, I was able to take a lot of 'fun' classes. I called this semester my "learning how to be a proper homemaker/wife semester." I took a cooking class, sewing, photography "for travelers," and an anthropology class here and there. It was great!
February
I think we did something nice for Valentine's day, but I really can't remember...oops. Maybe I should journal/blog more often. Here are some photos I found on my phone from February...for the first three, photo credit goes to my niece.
Look, she even posed Mr. Bunny.
She caught Bry's most flattering angles.
She even did a couple's shoot with Mr. Bunny and Megan. She's a pro!
We played Mario Kart together...and found out that I STINK at video games. Not even just a little.
March
We loved the blossoms and change in weather. We also went and saw J's Aunt Kathy's performance of the Messiah which she directed. It was great! I think we also did other things, but I can't seem to remember...
April
April was a busy month for us! First it was J's 25th birthday. Quarter of a century! I graduated from BYU, which was exciting. And then my brother Bryan married Morgan, which was even more exciting! We also took some updated family photos.
May was a packed month! We started off by going to Disney World/ Universal Studios with the Wiser Fam. We then worked Hike-it and Spike-it in Roswell for a few days. In case you were wondering, small town Roswell is home to the largest flag football tournament in the entire country. Who knew, right?!
Oh my goodness. I almost forgot! We spent an awesome week in Luna, NM with J's grandparents, mom, and other extended family. I loved visiting the tiny town with so much personal history to J's family. It was great.
Towards the end of May we started heading out to DC to start JT's internship. While we drove cross-country, we:
-Stopped in Dallas to attend a professional baseball game (the Texas Rangers won)
-saw the Dallas, Houston, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, and Columbia temples
-Spent a little while in Hilton Head, South Carolina playing on the beach, walking around enjoying the town, and visiting the restaurant where JT spend a summer working.
June
In June, J started his internship I nannyed, and we both explored and loved living in the Nation's capitol! I especially loved all of the free museums and zoo! Seriously, I went to the zoo many times. (By myself. I guess I still haven't out grown the girl who had Steven Irwin as her idol in 6th grade....with crocodile key chains on her backpack....) We had a great time, which is good because J received a job offer after his internship and we accepted it! We will be permanent District residents come this fall. In the month of June we also found out that we were pregnant. :)
July
We had several visitors (Mike and Melinda, Mom, Dad, Erin, Megan, Bryan, Morgan, and Kathy). Which was AWESOME! It was neat to tour the District with them. We like visitors a lot....so people better come and visit us when we move out there permanently We also went to the Hill Cummorah pageant (yay mom, dad, Meg, and Erin) and celebrated our 2nd anniversary in Gettysburg.
The National Arboretum has the coolest collection of bonsai trees...there are some that are over 500 years old. For reals, it is way cool.
I loved J's flowers he drew me....aren't they great?! They still make me laugh...
My mom looked like a queen. She had tons of little girls come up and ask to take pictures with her.
Fearless E holding a giant cricket
Paddle boating on the tidal basin! Fun Fun.
August
We had our first appointment and got to hear the baby's heart beat. I also got to stress about figuring out various insurance problems...sometimes it stinks to be an adult!
September
I turned 23 and J took me to a restaurant featured on Drivers, Dine-ins, and Dives. We went to Ruth's and it was yummy!
October
We found out we were having a girl! We went to NM over conference weekend to go to the Balloon Fiesta.
November
My family-bamily came up for Thanksgiving! We had a great time. Poor Megs also had to get knee surgery again...I was lucky enough to be her guardian and be with her throughout a lot of it. She even got visited by sweet Grandpa Hardy. (And he bought her a balloon! Can you get any cuter?!)
Meg's gown circulated warm air....which made her feel slightly like a marshmallow. I thought it sounded like the best invention ever!
Mimi's with Grandpa
Hannah really wants to go to Hawaii....we went to Hobby Lobby with our moms and I found her like this...haha
December
We went to the Festival of Trees with Megan, Ben, Heather, and Dan. They had straight up Shire gingerbread houses....I loved it.
I saw this tree and had to take a picture because it reminded me of Alisa and Ryan.
My mom brought me up a lot of her scrap fabric, so I crafted myself to death.
We also had a 28 week ultrasound to make sure that my placenta had moved. Thankfully, it had (no placenta previa for this girl) and we got some sweet pictures of our baby.
We had a wonderful Christmas in NM with our dear family. And it was a great way to end the year!!
Again, apologies for the horrific layout...this will probably drive perfectionists nuts to look at this...hahaha.

Love all your pics from DC, I bet that was so fun!
