Last July, Erin, Megan, Mom, and Dad were able to be performers in the
Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, NY. They had done it the year before (sans Megan) and LOVED it. We were so so happy that since we were in DC for the summer, we were able make the drive up to NY and see the pageant. It was great! There is something really refreshing about music and performance to lift and strengthen your spirit. They did an awesome job and the atmosphere was really wonderful. And it is really neat to see a performance where you know people. (J and I love arts, plays, and other performances, but when you know the people involved, you appreciated it even more.) Also, my mom's costume was the best. She looked like a queen. For reals. (My mom felt slightly guilty because her part was one of the instigators of a wicked mob and every little girl wanted a picture with her because her costume rocked. It was funny.) We loved being able to hear the insider scoop and various stories of how everything pulled together to create such a neat performance!
